While staying in the Kiptopeke State Park at the southern tip of the Delmarva Peninsula we visited the small local town of Cape Charles. It is on the Chesapeke Bay side and has some lovely old homes and a nice shoreline which we have been told by a local goes out a couple hundred feet before getting more then waist deep. They painted the water tower to look like a lighthouse and have a lovely pavillion right on the shore.
