The Wedding

Hawthorne Hill, home of our friends June and Peter is so beautiful and the perfect place for an outdoor wedding.

The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking.

I was honored to stand for June during the ceremony. She is my friend and Reiki Master. She has taught me about life and been an inspiration and mentor.

I made my outfit, Screaching Owl braided my hair and made the white leather wrap.

Before the wedding June, Screaching Owl and I pose for some pictures. Screaching Owl will perform the ceremony. She told some of us about the the ceremonial headdress she will wear during the ceremony. Parts of it are over 200 years old and cannot be photographed so to honor her we could not post some pictures.

Screaching Owl's husband, Bear, looks awesome in his regalia.

Bear and June's grandson.

June looks so beautiful before the ceremony. The "dog soldiers" appear to be guarding her.

Friends and family form a circle.
We enter the circle of friends and the ceremony is about to begin.

The wind is present to add it's blessing.

Bear brings Peter and his son, Peter, into the circle.

Everyone is smudged.

During the ceremony Bear, Peter Jr, Screaching Owl and I cover the couple so they can tell each other what is in their hearts.

They are husband and wife. They look so happy.

Guests greet the wedding party.

What a beautiful couple! The outfits were made of leather and hand beaded by Screaching Owl and Bear. Hours and hours of work and the results are one of a kind.

We could see the love in their eyes and feel the happy spirits of Soaring Eagle and Flying Wolf Woman.

Screaching Owl is covered in shells. The work of Bear. She is a very special person and I am priviledged to know her.

Everyone enjoyed the good food and company after the ceremony.
