Tucumcari, NM

We traveled west at a pretty rapid pace but at our stop in Tucumcari I had to take a few pictures along Historic Route 66 and around town.  The town lost it's luster when Route 40 by-passed it but they are trying to bring it back with beautiful murals all over town.

South Carolina

Moving south we stopped in Myrtle Beach and visited our friends June and Peter.  They lived near us in upstate NY and retired to SC.  We spent a special day with them at  Brookgreen Gardens with acres and acres of lovely landscaping, sculptures and more.  June and Peter are always great to visit and we enjoy their company.
